Volunteer for Chandos Park Survey
Works closely with Harrow Council to ensure Chandos Park remains a welcoming and enjoyable green space for the entire local community. We serve as a vital link between the Council and park users, enabling clear two-way communication about park policies and community views. This role has been especially important during the recent revitalisation of the park.
CPCG played a key role in shaping those improvements—most notably by advocating for the installation of the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA). The original plan included three tennis courts, but thanks to our efforts, the space was adapted to better serve a broader range of park users.
Our dedicated volunteers carry out daily inspections and litter-picking to help keep the park clean and safe. We also support the Council through regular volunteer work parties, focusing primarily on gardening and general maintenance.
Community engagement is central to what we do. CPCG organises a wide range of events to bring people together—past activities have included summer fairs, Easter Eggstravaganzas, children’s story times, and guided tree walks.
Put simply the Group looks at what is needed in the park and works towards achieving it.
We’re always looking for new volunteers to join us in any capacity, whether that’s helping with events, gardening, communication, or day-to-day upkeep.

You can also support CPCG by purchasing a HarrowWins lottery ticket and nominating us as your chosen cause. For every £1 ticket purchased, 50p goes directly to CPCG, helping to fund essential equipment, event costs, and admin fees. It’s a small act that makes a big difference.
