The enclosed children's playground at Chandos Park is a treasure trove for families. With equipment designed for all age groups, it includes:
Swings (including traditional and toddler bucket seats)
Climbing frame and climbing net for strength and agility
Slides of varying heights for a rush of fun
Living green tunnels made of willow for hide-and-seek adventures
Benches for parents to relax and keep a watchful eye
The playground helps children develop physical skills, build confidence, and, most importantly, have fun in a safe, secure setting.
Children will be all smiles at the park’s zip line ride—a classic favourite! It’s a short, thrilling ride from one platform to another, offering just the right mix of excitement and giggles. Great for developing balance, coordination, and confidence, it’s a go-to activity for adventurous little ones. Supervised fun that feels like flying—what could be better?
Let the mini explorers loose on the wooden and rope obstacle course, positioned on the side and behind the tennis courts. This natural-style play area features balance beams, climbing logs, rope bridges, and step posts—all designed to challenge children’s agility, coordination, and motor skills in a fun and imaginative way. It’s the kind of place where pirate ships and jungle adventures come to life—all under the sky.
Located behind the Childrens Playground are a series of gently sloping grassy mounds, perfect for kids to run up, roll down, and leap from like Jack and Jill on a countryside hill. These natural play features encourage imaginative play and physical movement while blending beautifully with the green landscape. Great for little legs to stretch and great big laughs to be had—plus, it's nature’s own playground!
Step into the park’s enclosed multi-use games area (MUGA)—a versatile space with purpose-built equipment for a variety of sports like basketball, mini-cricket, football, and more. The durable surface and clear court markings make it easy for people of all ages to have a go, whether it's a spontaneous 3-on-3 game or practicing free throws. It’s a brilliant spot for both structured play and informal fun, promoting team play and active lifestyles.
Tucked into a shady corner of Chandos Park are a couple of outdoor table tennis tables, perfect for a quick game with friends or a spontaneous family challenge. Whether you're a seasoned player or just fancy a laugh chasing the ball around, it's a fun, low-impact way to get moving and sharpen your hand-eye coordination.
Surrounding benches make it a great little social spot too—ideal for cheering on a match or simply soaking in the park vibes. Just bring your own paddles and ball!
